Paper Workshop by Gill Wilson

I have been to a paper making workshop today at Ruthin Craft Centre http://www.ruthincraftcentre.org.uk/ ran by Gill Wilson http://www.gill-wilson.com/

Gill using a range of natural fibres to create fantastic tactile pieces both on large and small scale . It was a brilliant workshop also a pleasure to meet the artist . I had a great time experimenting with fibre pulp using a range of different techniques that we were shown. Below are images of example pieces by Gill. The work shop was very inspiring. I am looking forward to experimenting further with the natural pulp fibres within jewellery/ wearable objects.

Beetroot Soup

Cooking really does seems to be my great escape lately! I called by my local fruit and veg shop at the weekend and saw this gorgeous fresh bunch of beetroot so thought I would give a recipe a try that I came across recently by Sophie Dahl !! It was a fresh pick me up to keep me going with the writing marathon!
