Its been a busy few months The students have now finished for the summer and I have been busy in the workshop making for Arteria  http://www.arteriashop.co.uk/ Tangent exhibition in gallery 23 Lancaster 

which started on the 25th July and is on until 13th October.I have my pebble collection also a selection of my barnacle range on sale at the exhibition. If anyone happens to be about that way call by for a little look around, Im looking forward to going hopefully in the next few weeks !!

Paper Workshop by Gill Wilson

I have been to a paper making workshop today at Ruthin Craft Centre http://www.ruthincraftcentre.org.uk/ ran by Gill Wilson http://www.gill-wilson.com/

Gill using a range of natural fibres to create fantastic tactile pieces both on large and small scale . It was a brilliant workshop also a pleasure to meet the artist . I had a great time experimenting with fibre pulp using a range of different techniques that we were shown. Below are images of example pieces by Gill. The work shop was very inspiring. I am looking forward to experimenting further with the natural pulp fibres within jewellery/ wearable objects.

Beetroot Soup

Cooking really does seems to be my great escape lately! I called by my local fruit and veg shop at the weekend and saw this gorgeous fresh bunch of beetroot so thought I would give a recipe a try that I came across recently by Sophie Dahl !! It was a fresh pick me up to keep me going with the writing marathon! The Sketch Book project world tour 2012

I have now sent off my sketch book to Brooklyn New york as part of the sketch book project tour starting in April 2012 http://www.arthousecoop.com/projects/sketchbookproject2012 ! I will soon be able to track my sketch book also you will be  able to view it digitally online on the sketch book projects website, it will also be on permanent display at brooklyn library along with the other sketch book entries.
